Amorepacific Selects Five Social Ventures Contributing to Plastics Reduction and Net-Zero Goals

Amorepacific announced on the 27th that it has successfully concluded the third ‘A MORE Beautiful Challenge’ program, which ran from May to November this year.

The A MORE Beautiful Challenge, launched in 2022, aims to discover social ventures with impactful and scalable solutions, providing them with opportunities for open innovation and investment. Organized by

Amorepacific and operated by impact investment and startup accelerator MY Social Company, the program has grown into a platform for fostering sustainability-driven businesses.

This year, the program focused on the themes of "Less Plastic" and "Net Zero" selecting five outstanding social ventures: NANOO, Sustainable Lab, REVATION, VPPLab, and Carbon Neutral Research Institute.

Over the course of five months, the selected ventures participated in meetup days with Amorepacific's departments, ongoing in-house exhibitions, and open innovation collaborations. The program also facilitated investment connections and opportunities to work with relevant operational teams.

Among the selected ventures, REVATION specializes in eco-friendly product and packaging development solutions, focusing on creating alternatives to plastics through carbon-reducing product development processes. REVATION proposed a plastic-free packaging solution for Amorepacific by replacing plastic inner packaging with recyclable paper materials and is currently conducting technical tests for product application.

Min-Sung Lee, CEO of REVATION, remarked, “Collaborating with Amorepacific provided us with a valuable opportunity to advance our R&D for scaling less-plastic solutions. It also offered significant insights into collaborating with companies that are transitioning to eco-friendly alternatives to plastics.”
